Salam TV Uganda's popular show, "The Judiciary Hour," featured HW. Gladys Kamasanyu, Registrar of the Wildlife and Environment Court, in a discussion on the significance of preserving Uganda's rich wildlife and environment. Hosted by Businge Mariam every Thursday from 11 am to 12 pm, the show provides a platform for insightful discussions on critical issues affecting the country.

During the episode, HW. Kamasanyu emphasized the crucial role the judiciary plays in protecting Uganda's natural resources through advocacy, public engagement, and the administration of justice. She highlighted various crimes that threaten the country's ecosystem, including poaching, environmental degradation, noise pollution, and swamp or lake reclamation. These offenses are punishable by law, with penalties ranging from heavy fines to imprisonment or even life imprisonment for aggravated offenses against wildlife.

HW. Kamasanyu urged the community to take an active role in protecting the environment and reporting any encroachment on wildlife or natural habitats to the relevant authorities. She also encouraged citizens to adopt sustainable practices, such as preserving natural forests and avoiding activities that endanger wildlife and the environment.
