Lwemiyaga County MP Theodore Ssekikubo has criticised the recently concluded NRM primaries, describing them as a “mockery of democracy” marred by irregularities and the alleged hijacking of the people’s will.

Ssekikubo, a vocal NRM legislator, expressed frustration over what he termed the “grabbing of the people’s mandate” in his constituency, claiming the process lacked fairness and transparency.

“The people of Lwemiyaga are not unwise. If I was useless, they wouldn’t be voting me consecutively all these years,” he stated.

“We are not here to play games. We participate in these primaries because we know that the President will be there for all of us,” Ssekikubo added.
