Munyagwa fires back at critics, vows to run for president

Former Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa has hit back at opposition leaders who have labeled him a traitor for launching his own political party, the Common Man's Party. Munyagwa's decision to form a new party has been met with criticism from some opposition leaders, who accuse him of abandoning the cause and betraying his former allies.

However, Munyagwa has fired back, saying that he has spent years serving the opposition without benefiting from it. He claims that he was "played" by opposition leaders, who failed to deliver on their promises.

Munyagwa's frustration with the opposition leadership has driven him to seek a new path, one that he believes will allow him to truly serve the people.

Munyagwa has announced that he will run for president in the 2026 elections, vowing to tackle the vices that have plagued the country for so long.

He believes that his experience and understanding of the opposition's weaknesses make him the ideal candidate to bring about real change.

In a scathing critique of the opposition, Munyagwa noted that they have failed to provide a credible alternative to the ruling party.

"We don't have an opposition party to fight because they know the one in power," he said. Munyagwa's comments are a damning indictment of the opposition's inability to effectively challenge the ruling party.

As Munyagwa embarks on his presidential bid, he will face stiff competition from established parties and candidates. However, his willingness to speak truth to power and challenge the status quo may resonate with voters who are desperate for change.

"I have spent years serving the opposition, but I have not benefited from it. I was played by the leaders, and now I have decided to take a new path.

I will run for president to help curb the vices that have plagued our country for so long." -  Munyagwa stated
