Hajji Karim Kaliisa, Managing Director of Salam Charity and Salam TV, has embarked on a mission to identify areas for sustainable projects that can benefit Ugandan Imams and contribute to a brighter future. During his field visit, he inspected modern water sources in Ntungamo, donated through a partnership with Afo Austria and Hon. Baata Kamateneti.
The MD also gifted mosques in Ntungamo with Runyankore-translated copies Quran, aiming to promote understanding of Islamic teachings in the local language. This initiative is part of Salam Charity's efforts to empower communities and enhance Islamic education.
Speaking during his visit to Kabimbiri Muslim Nursery and Primary School in Kabimbiri, Kitwe Town Council, Ntungamo District, Hajji Karim Kaliisa emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving development. "We can develop ourselves, but this can be achieved by working together for development," he said.
He highlighted that Salam Charity, as an organization, may not have financial resources, but it can mobilize people for development. "We have tried several times, and it surely works," he added.
As the charity arm of Salam TV, Salam Charity focuses on three major pillars: health, education, and capacity building of local leaders. The organization aims to change lives for the better by working with communities and stakeholders.
Through its initiatives, Salam Charity seeks to make a positive impact on the lives of Ugandans, particularly in rural areas. By promoting sustainable development and empowering local leaders, the organization hopes to create a brighter future for generations to come.
