Calvin Echodu has officially entered the race for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda after being nominated by the party electoral commission.
Echodu was nominated on Wednesday afternoon amidst supporters who thronged the NRM electoral commission headquarters .
Speaking after his nomination, Mr. Echodu said he is energized and ready for the journey ahead.
He emphasized that this moment is not just about him as an individual, but about bringing real, action-based leadership to the people of Eastern Uganda.
Echodu also took the opportunity to congratulate the party chairman, President Museveni, for once again offering himself to continue leading both the NRM party and the nation.
He praised the president’s dedication and called on fellow patriots and party members to unite behind the common goal of national progress.
Echodu quoted the inspiring words of Helen Keller to announce his campaign.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
He has now officially entered the race seeking to unseat long-serving NRM vice chairperson for Eastern Uganda, Capt Mike Mukula who has expressed interest in retaining the seat.
