Bobi Wine plucked off plane, detained briefly at Airport

Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has been picked off plane by security personnel.

According to reports from the airport, the singer was not allowed to proceed to immigrations for check in/out, but rather ordered into a police van and driven away.

We were later informed by one of the singer’s brother, that Bobi Wine was driven to the CAA holding facility waiting specific orders on his next move.

Bobi Wine’s international lawyer, Robert Amsterdam also claims that the legislator has been detained on arrival.

“We have received word from local counsel that Bobi Wine has again been unlawfully detained by military officers upon his arrival to Uganda,” Amsterdam tweeted.

Nile Post reliably understands that the singer was detained briefly before being driven away by security personnel headed to his home in Magere, Gayaza, Wakiso District.

Update:

Bobi Wine is being driven in a white police Land cruiser GX vehicle UP7500. The vehicle has stopped at Kasangati police station.
