BMK Group, Salam TV & Salam Charity Donate Land for the Muslim Cemetery at Kiryandongo Refugee Camp
The late Hajji BMK initiated the Salam Muslim Cemetery project to ensure Muslim communities across Uganda have proper burial sites. BMK Group, Salam TV, and Salam Charity pledged continued support for refugees and vulnerable groups.

The BMK Group, in partnership with Salam TV and Salam Charity, has donated two hectares of land to the Muslim community at Kiryandongo refugee camp for a dedicated cemetery. The handover took place during a Salam Jumah event attended by religious leaders and local officials.

Sheikh Siraj Kifampa, who led prayers at the ceremony, emphasized the importance of designated burial grounds for Muslims, stating that they serve as places of remembrance and ongoing spiritual reward.

Hajji Haruna Kibirige, representing BMK Group, reaffirmed the company's commitment to humanitarian efforts, while Hajji Karim Kaliisa of Salam Charity urged the community to maintain and develop the site.

Kiryandongo District Qadhi, Sheikh Habib, welcomed the donation but highlighted ongoing challenges in the refugee camp, including food shortages, education gaps, and the need for more Muslim institutions.
