The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has commended the Indian Business Forum for its pivotal contribution to Uganda’s economic growth through investment and business process outsourcing across various sectors.
Tayebwa made the remarks following a meeting with a delegation from the Indian Business Forum, led by Director General Rajesh Kumar.
During the meeting, Kumar briefed the Deputy Speaker on the forum’s upcoming celebration of its 10th anniversary in Uganda.
“The Indian Business Forum plays a critical role in promoting investment in the health, agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, and other sectors in Uganda,” Tayebwa said.
“It always gives me pleasure to associate with them.”
The Deputy Speaker’s praise underscores the forum’s significant impact on Uganda’s economy over the past decade.
By fostering investment and facilitating business processes, the forum has contributed to job creation, economic growth, and improvements in Uganda’s business climate.
As the Indian Business Forum marks its 10th year in Uganda, its efforts continue to serve as a cornerstone for the country’s economic transformation and a testament to the strong ties between Uganda and the Indian business community.
