Salam Charity's efforts in Katakwi are part of a broader initiative to support vulnerable communities across Uganda and beyond. The charity is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid, promoting education, and fostering community development, with a focus on empowering marginalized communities to improve their living standards.

A recent ground survey conducted by Salam Charity in Katakwi among the Muslim community has revealed a dire situation, with the majority of residents do not have access to basic needs. The survey, which aimed to assess the living conditions and challenges faced by the community, has exposed a pressing need for support and intervention.

According to Hajji Karim Kaliisa, Managing Director of Salam TV and Salam Charity, the people of Katakwi are in dire need of assistance from those with a helping heart to uplift their standards of living. "The situation on the ground is alarming, and it is our collective responsibility to lend a hand to those in need," he emphasized.

One of the most pressing concerns is the lack of adequate mosque facilities, which can serve as community centers and provide a range of services to the local population. Hajji Kaliisa has called upon everyone to join hands with Salam Charity to construct mosques in the area, which will not only provide a place of worship but also serve as hubs for community development and social support.

The Muslim leaders in the area have also highlighted the absence of practicing Muslim schools in the district, which has resulted in limited access to education for the local children. Furthermore, the community is facing significant challenges in accessing clean water, with many residents having to travel long distances to access this basic necessity. The government schools in the area are also far away, making it difficult for children to attend school regularly.

In response to these challenges, Salam Charity has pledged to work hand in hand with individuals and organizations in Uganda and beyond to support those in need. The charity is committed to assisting in various forms, including the construction of mosques, schools, and water facilities, as well as supporting education and community development initiatives.

"We believe that it is our responsibility to share the little we have with those in need, and we are calling upon everyone to join us in this noble cause," said Hajji Kaliisa. "Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the people of Katakwi and other communities in need."

Salam Charity's efforts in Katakwi are part of a broader initiative to support vulnerable communities across Uganda and beyond. The charity is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid, promoting education, and fostering community development, with a focus on empowering marginalized communities to improve their living standards.

As the charity continues to work tirelessly to support those in need, it is urging everyone to join hands in this effort. Whether through donations, volunteer work, or spreading the word, every contribution counts, and together, we can create a brighter future for the people of Katakwi and beyond.
