A delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini, led by Gen. Chief Chimpa Shongwe, delivered a special message from King Mswati III to the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, at his Igenge Palace in Bugembe, Jinja City.
"We are grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to us by the Busoga Kingdom," said Gen. Chief Chimpa Shongwe. "This visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening the bilateral ties between our two kingdoms."
Al-Haji Osman Ahmed Noor, Busoga Kingdom's second deputy prime minister, received the special message on behalf of the Kyabazinga. He expressed his appreciation for the delegation's visit, stating that it "strongly cements the relationship between the two kingdoms of Eswatini and Busoga."
The delegation included Dr. A.N Ntuli Mewemamba, Lt. Mwongo Sgidi, and Kangume Sheila, Head of Protocol at the Consular of the Kingdom of Eswatini in Kampala.
Al-Haji Osman emphasized the importance of promoting cultural values and norms between the two kingdoms, saying, "We will continue to work together to promote our cultural heritage, not only in Africa but also globally."
This historic visit is expected to further strengthen the ties between the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Busoga Kingdom, promoting cultural exchange and cooperation.
