State Minister for Youth and Culture, Balaam Barugahara, recently joined thousands of believers from the House of Prayer Ministries to celebrate the ministry's 10th anniversary.

Addressing the congregation at Canan Land, Minister Balaam shared his longstanding friendship with Pastor Aloysius Bujingo and recalled surviving an attempted assassination earlier this year, which tragically claimed the life of his bodyguard.

During his testimony, Balaam credited Pastor Bujingo's blessings for his rise to a ministerial position.

"I came here to Canan and contributed to the construction of the House of Prayer Ministries. Pastor Bujingo anointed me with his blessed oil, and just a few months later, President Museveni appointed me as a minister, alongside my friend Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who became the Chief of Defense Forces," Balaam told the enthusiastic congregation.

Since his appointment as State Minister for Youth and Culture on March 21, 2024, Balaam has been active in his role, including efforts to negotiate the release of NUP supporters facing treason charges in the Court Martial.

His appointment gained widespread attention on social media and various electronic platforms.

Addressing the congregation, Balaam encouraged the faithful to make the most of government initiatives like the Parish Development Model, which allocates nearly Shs100 million per parish to fight poverty.

He also urged them to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the upcoming 2026 elections.

Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, celebrating the 10-year milestone of House of Prayer Ministries, shared his faith journey, noting he found salvation in 1992.

He expressed gratitude to President Museveni for fostering an environment where Born-Again Christians can freely practice their faith.

He also appealed to Minister Balaam to implore the President to visit the House of Prayer Ministries.
