Dr. Joseph Muvawala, Prime Minister of the Busoga Kingdom, has called upon the people of Busoga and religious leaders to proudly uphold their cultural heritage and prioritise local texts written in Lusoga.

This rallying cry was made during the Busoga Prayer Week held at Luuka district Grounds.

"We must cherish our roots and pass them down to future generations," Dr. Muvawala emphasised. "By embracing our culture and language, we strengthen our identity and unity as a people."

Dr. Muvawala's appeal resonates deeply within the Busoga community, which has a rich history and tradition. The promotion of Lusoga language and literature is vital to preserving this heritage.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to empower local communities and celebrate Uganda's diverse cultural tapestry. By prioritizing indigenous languages and customs, Busoga Kingdom sets a shining example for other regions to follow.

As the Busoga Kingdom continues to thrive, Dr. Muvawala's words serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of cultural preservation and community unity.
