On October 14th, 2024—Salam TV's charity arm, Salam Charity Bilal Group, donated heartfelt items to Good Samaritan Inclusive School in Mukono on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. The school primarily caters to children with special needs and receives essential items, including wheelchairs, food supplies, and hygiene products.

The donation ceremony was attended by Hashim Yesigye, Chairperson of Salam Charity Bilal Group, Nakaddama Hamidah, former Headteacher of the school, and Mr. Migadde Fred, Director of Good Samaritan Inclusive Primary School, Salam Charity Bilal group members, all the staff of the Good Samaritan Inclusive Primary School and Kids with the special needs at Good Samaritan Inclusive Primary School

According to Hashim Yesigye, Salam Charity relies on contributions from local individuals who generously give whatever they can to support those in need. "Our role is to maintain trust and identify deserving beneficiaries, like Good Samaritan Inclusive School, to provide them with necessary aid," he emphasized.

Nakaddama Hamidah shed light on the challenges faced by children with special needs, highlighting the stigma and neglect they often encounter. "We established this school to provide a haven where these children can feel valued and supported," she said.

Mr. Migadde Fred expressed gratitude to Salam Charity and Salam TV for their kindness. "We face numerous challenges, including food shortages, medication costs, and funding for caretakers. But when we see selfless organizations like Salam Charity, it gives us strength to continue our mission," he said.

The event concluded with a poignant prayer from one of the students, who thanked Salam Charity and its supporters for their humanitarian efforts.

The outreach was an emotionally charged experience, with many attendees moved to tears by the plight of the children. However, it also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of kindness and generosity.
