The event recognised over 60 companies for their outstanding business performance.
KAMPALA | Absa Bank Uganda has been awarded the Best Digital Banking Experience at the sixth edition of the Consumer Choice Awards 2024, held at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala.
The awards, organized by Consumer Guide Magazine, celebrate excellence in business performance and customer satisfaction.
Olive Katatumba, Absa Bank's Head of Digital Banking, received the award on behalf of the bank.
In her acceptance speech, Katatumba highlighted Absa’s commitment to becoming a digitally-led bank, emphasizing its range of digital innovations, including contactless payments, card innovations, integrated banking channels, mobile banking solutions, and the Absa Access platform, which offer secure and seamless banking for clients.
"The accolade is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence in delivering top-notch digital banking solutions for our customers," Katatumba said.
"It is also a vote of confidence from our customers, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. We believe digital banking should be intuitive, seamless, and accessible to all."
The event recognised over 60 companies for their outstanding business performance.
The winners were determined through a months-long consumer voting process, where companies were nominated, categorized, and voted as the top in their respective categories by the consumers themselves.
The final winners were announced on Friday, with Absa Bank emerging as a standout in the digital banking category.
The Consumer Choice Awards is an annual event that recognises and celebrates excellence in various sectors of business, based on consumer feedback and preferences.
Organised by different entities worldwide - such as Consumer Guide Magazine in Uganda -, these awards aim to identify companies, products, and services that deliver outstanding performance, innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
To determine the winners, the awards typically involve a process where consumers nominate businesses in various categories, followed by a period of public voting.
The companies that receive the highest votes in each category are declared the winners, making the awards a reflection of consumer preferences and trust. Categories can range from banking and finance to retail, hospitality, technology, and more.
The Consumer Choice Awards help businesses gain visibility and credibility, as they are based on direct consumer input rather than solely on industry opinion or internal metrics.
Winning such an award often signifies a company's strong reputation, customer loyalty, and commitment to quality and service excellence.
