Ugandans and other citizens in the country thronged the UMA Grounds in Lugogo to take part in the Rotary Cancer Run 2024 on Sunday.

More than 10,000 people registered for the 13th edition of the Rotary Cancer Run with proceeds from the Shs30,000 and other donations going into the setting up of standard facilities for cancer patients at Nsambya Hospital, which according to organisers is targeted to be completed by 2027.

The Rotary Cancer Run also helps raise awareness about the disease.

NBS Sports broadcast the Run live and as one the main sponsors, the Next Media brand was recognised for its contribution in promotion of the 13 edition with District Governor Nominee Gerald Obai handing over a sponsors trophy to the Next Media team led by Deputy Chief Executive Joe Kigozi (centre)
