Entebbe Mayor gives KCCA four day ultimatum to secure new garbage dumping site
Entebbe Mayor , Fabrice Rulinda has given Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) four days to dump garbage at Nkumba dumping site despite the previous agreement between Katabi town council and KCCA.
Rulinda mentioned the resolution to journalists on Friday evening after council’s committee meeting that resolved to give KCCA only four days.

On Monday, KCCA and Katabi Town Council had reached an agreement to dump garbage at the Nkumba site in Katabi Town Council for a period of one month.
However, according to the Entebbe Mayor this wont be achieved citing issues with land ownership and KCCA’s handling of the situation.
Rulinda emphasized that the 14-acre site, located along Lake Victoria, is insufficient for handling the additional garbage.
However , the two conflicting authorities have not harmonized.
A conflict of interest remains emerging between the Mayor of Katabi Town Council, Ronald Kalema and the Mayor of Entebbe Municipal Council.
The two officials hold differing views on the ownership and control of the Nkumba dumping site, a contentious issue that has sparked debate and tension in the area.
