All set for celebrations to mark Kwar Adhola Silver Jubilee Coronation anniversary
The Tieng Adhola Cultural Institution is gearing up to commemorate a significant milestone in the history of the Adhola people.
On August, 7 , the institution will be celebrating the silver Jubilee coronation anniversary of Kwari Adhola, Moses Stephen Owor .
President Museveni is expected to grace the occasion according to the cultural institution prime Minister, Josel Obbo.
The Adhola people, who reside in the eastern region of Uganda, hold their cultural leader, Kwari Adhola, in high esteem.
As a custodian of their cultural heritage, Kwari Adhola has played a vital role in preserving and promoting the Adhola traditions and customs for the past 25 years.
The Adhola people are known for their rich cultural practices, including music, dance, and art.
Addressing journalists, the Tieng Adhola Prime Minister, Josel Obbo said the cultural institution has been at the forefront of championing these traditions and under the leadership of Kwari Adhola, these customs have thrived.
The silver Jubilee coronation anniversary d-day is to be a grand celebration, with various cultural performances and ceremonies planned to honor Kwari Adhola.
The event that is expected to attract over ten thousand (10,000) people will also be attended by different dignitaries including, government officials, cultural leaders across east Africa, religious leaders and members of the Adhola community from all over the country.
From beginning of this week, the institution declares it a cultural week until 4th of August with a number of school children and cultural troops expected to perform in preparation.
The prime Minister of Tieng Adhola Cultural Institution, Obbo assures the public that the event which is to cost over shs300 million is already at 80%, confirming that they're more than ready to have the day pass.
"We have what it takes to have this day come to pass. With resources we have so far gathered, we should be able to have enough food and entertainment. So, people should be ready to celebrate with us" Josel Obbo said
With 20% of the budget yet to be covered, Obbo calls on his subjects and well-wishers to come to their rescue to avoid shortages during the d-day.
In addition to celebrating Kwari Adhola's reign, the event will also serve as an opportunity to reflect on the Adhola culture and its significance in today's society.
It will also be a chance to pass down these traditions to the younger generation and ensure their preservation for years to come.
The Tieng Adhola cultural institution is calling upon all members of the Adhola community, as well as well-wishers, to join in the festivities and celebrate the silver Jubilee coronation anniversary of their beloved leader, Kwari Adhola.
