KCCA ED Kisaka inspects city works
The Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka has led a team to inspect the works in the city.
The Executive Director was however not happy with the pace of the works accusing the contractor Konoike, a Japanese firm of moving at a snail pace.

Kisaka says 50% of the funds for the job have already been disbursed but the results are yet to be seen.
"It is taking too long, we need quicker results, we have discovered they are not working at night. so we are saying lets work out a plan and they start working at night," she said.
The contractor could however not respond to the matter.
Over 20 roundabouts are to be reconstructed to facilitate traffic lights and reduce the traffic jam in the city.
However, the contractor's pace is hindering this with the deadline of April of 2025.
"What is happening at Fairway is the kind of lights we placing at Ku bbiri, at Mortuary and in total 27 junctions. It is beautiful work, the only problem is the speed."
A shs78 billion donation from the Japanese government will be spent on the construction works as KCCA embarks on removing all roundabouts in the city and replace them with traffic lights.
