The crisis at 13 time Uganda Premier League champions, KCCA FC seems to be far from over but rather deepening after they lost a fifth consecutive game at the hands of newcomers, NEC FC at Lugogo on Thursday evening.
Coming into the game, the Kasasiro Boys had sacked Portuguese coach, Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil and appointed Jackson Magera on the interim basis.
However, Thursday was baptism of fire for Magera when striker, Cromwell Rwothomio his team twice in the fourth minute and later in 25th minute after taking advantage of KCCA FC’s porous defence.
The win meant newly promoted NEC are now third with 12 points, three off joint table leaders BUL and Kitara.
The loss on the other side meant this is the worst start to the Uganda Premier League in many years, having lost five consecutive games and have kissed the bottom of the table.
In those five games, KCCA FC has shipped in 10 goals and has scored a meager three.
The Kasasiro Boys will on Tuesday travel to West Nile to face Arua Hill before facing defending champions Vipers Sports club at home on November 19 in the Uganda Premier League.
