The Ghanian Football Association has lodged a complaint to FIFA, the world football governing body, protesting over what it termed as poor officiation during their game against Uganda on Saturday.
Cranes captain Denis Onyango's goalkeeping error saw Ghana score through Raphael Dramena only for the Sudanese referee to cancel the goal in the 93rd minute.
The game eventually ended in a goalless draw virtually ending Uganda and Ghana's hopes of making it to Russia next year.
Egypt, the Group E leaders are in pole position to qualify for the World Cup. They play Congo Brazzaville later on Sunday needing a win to qualify.
However, the football governing body in Ghana says the performance of centre referee Daniel Bennett and his assistants Eldrick Adelaide and Steve Marie were below par during the World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Saturday.
Mr Bennett and assistants denied Ghana a perfect goal in the 93rd minute with television replays showing that it was a perfect goal,"wrote the Ghana Football Association in a release.
"The referee also denied Ghana a penalty earlier in the second-half when Ghana midfielder Frank Acheampong was brought down in the box."
When asked to comment about the incident of the disallowed goal during the post match press conference at Namboole on Saturday, Ghana's coach Kwesi Appiah said he couldn't comment on referees' decisions.
The West African nation says that many other decisions by the match officials have compelled them to seek redress from the world governing body FIFA over their performance.
They have asked FIFA to consider the possibility of a replay for the sake of justice and fairness.
