Derrick Ndahiro has left SC Villa for URA FC.

Defender Derrick Ndahiro has penned an emotional tribute for his former club, SC Villa, describing the record Ugandan league champions as “glorious”.

Ndahiro earlier this week joined tax collectors, URA FC on a three-year deal after crossing from Villa where he had spent three years.

In a tribute to his former club, the 22-year-old left-back reminisced the good days at Villa Park that he said will always be missed as he embarks on a new journey of his life for the tax collectors.

“This week, I say goodbye to a glorious club that is SC Villa.I want to thank this club wholeheartedly for according me my first-ever opportunity to play premier league football,”Ndahiro said in a statement on his social media accounts.

Ndahiro could not help praising former SC Villa tactician, Moses Basena whom he says sported him and recruited him into the ranks at Lugogo and as they say, the rest is history.

“It has been a proud honour to represent this club. I am forever grateful to you coach Moses. May God bless you richly.”

“Sad as it is, the time has come to move on but I take with me many memories, lessons and great moments that will live with me forever,” he said.

Joining URA

The 22-year-old pint-sized defender confirmed joining the tax collectors, noting that he will now be seeking a new challenge.

“I will be joining URA FC, a club I want to thank for the next opportunity they have given me,” he said.
