With the new media partnership, NBS and AfroMobile are expected to amplify visibility for the event, expanding its reach to wider audiences both locally and across the region.

The collaboration reflects a growing trend of media platforms investing directly in cultural and entertainment experiences to shape audience engagement.

Roots & Vibes Live in Kampala is being positioned as a premium Afro-roots and Afro-Caribbean experience, blending reggae, soca, Afro-roots, and dancehall influences into a curated live performance showcase.

Organisers say the event is designed to deliver an immersive cultural experience that goes beyond a traditional concert format.

The lineup features a mix of established and contemporary Ugandan artistes, including A Pass, Daggynice, Sheila Salta, DJ Mercy, Jackie Chandiru, Joanita Kawalya, Rachel Magoola, Dax Vibez, Levixone, Ziggy Dee, and Henry Tigan, alongside Abeeka Band’s signature live performance.

Organisers say attendees can expect a fully curated experience featuring live instrumentation, DJ transitions, themed stage production inspired by Afro-Caribbean culture, and a tailored food and beverage offering.

The show is expected to transition from relaxed outdoor vibes into a high-energy live concert atmosphere.

Beyond entertainment, Roots & Vibes is also being framed as a cultural platform aimed at positioning Kampala as a destination for world-class live music experiences, while strengthening artistic exchange between African and Caribbean musical traditions.

With NBS and AfroMobile on board, organisers say the event will benefit from expanded storytelling, live coverage, and digital amplification, helping to connect the experience to audiences seeking immersive cultural entertainment.

As the countdown to May 2 continues, anticipation is building for what promises to be a landmark celebration of music, culture, and Abeeka Band’s five-year journey in Uganda’s live performance space.
