Next Media Services through NBS, alongside AfroMobile, has partnered with Abeeka Band as official media partners for “Roots & Vibes Live in Kampala,” a major concert scheduled for May 2, 2026, at the Ndere Cultural Centre.
The partnership was unveiled during a press briefing held on April 27 at One Hill Drive in Kololo, bringing together the band, media partners, and key stakeholders in Uganda’s entertainment industry ahead of the highly anticipated show.
The concert marks five years of Abeeka Band’s Roots & Vibes journey, which has grown into a weekly live music experience known for energetic performances and a strong connection with audiences across Kampala.
The band has built a reputation for blending live instrumentation with contemporary Afro-fusion sounds, creating a distinctive performance identity in Uganda’s live music scene.
With the new media partnership, NBS and AfroMobile are expected to amplify visibility for the event, expanding its reach to wider audiences both locally and across the region.

Roots & Vibes Live in Kampala is being positioned as a premium Afro-roots and Afro-Caribbean experience, blending reggae, soca, Afro-roots, and dancehall influences into a curated live performance showcase.

The lineup features a mix of established and contemporary Ugandan artistes, including A Pass, Daggynice, Sheila Salta, DJ Mercy, Jackie Chandiru, Joanita Kawalya, Rachel Magoola, Dax Vibez, Levixone, Ziggy Dee, and Henry Tigan, alongside Abeeka Band’s signature live performance.
Organisers say attendees can expect a fully curated experience featuring live instrumentation, DJ transitions, themed stage production inspired by Afro-Caribbean culture, and a tailored food and beverage offering.
