MTN Uganda, through its youth lifestyle platform MTN Pulse, has announced its sponsorship of the second edition of the LinusTats Tattoo Party, an immersive youth-focused lifestyle event scheduled for May 15, 2026, at the National Hockey Stadium Lugogo in Kampala.
The event, organised in collaboration with LinusTats Studio, is expected to attract a vibrant audience of young Ugandans interested in creativity, self-expression, and contemporary urban culture.
It will feature live tattoo sessions, piercings, henna art, music performances, and DJ sets, with Amapiano among the headline genres.
According to organisers, the Tattoo Party is designed as a curated cultural experience that blends music, art, and lifestyle expression into a single interactive environment, giving young people a platform to showcase individuality.
Speaking about the sponsorship, MTN Pulse Brand Ambassador Uwera Lyndah said the platform goes beyond connectivity to enable real-life experiences that resonate with young people.
“MTN Pulse is about more than just affordable data. It is about creating access to experiences that truly reflect the passions and lifestyles of young people. Our partnership with Linus Tats gives Pulsers a bold space to express themselves and connect through music, art, and culture,” she said.
MTN Uganda officials say the partnership is part of a broader strategy to invest in youth-centric platforms across entertainment, education, health, and careers, while also integrating digital solutions into everyday experiences.
Steven Nsubuga, Segment Manager at MTN Uganda, said the company is intentional about supporting spaces that matter to young audiences.
“Experiences like the LinusTats Tattoo Party allow us to engage in a way that is authentic and relevant, while also showcasing how our digital solutions like MTN MoMo can simplify and enhance everyday moments,” he said.
The event will be powered by MTN MoMo, enabling attendees to purchase tickets through the MoMo Ticketing platform or by dialing 16520#.
Organisers also said guests using MoMoPay during the event will enjoy exclusive offers on selected purchases.
Linus Gimei, Founder of LinusTats Studio, welcomed the partnership, describing the event as a celebration of individuality and community expression.
“The Tattoo Party is all about celebrating individuality and giving young people a platform to express who they are. Partnering with MTN Pulse allows us to take this vision further by creating an even bigger and more exciting experience,” he said.
The MTN Pulse LinusTats Tattoo Party is expected to stand out as one of Kampala’s major youth lifestyle events this year, combining art, music, and digital convenience into a single cultural experience.
Organisers say the collaboration reflects a growing trend of brands investing in experiential platforms that go beyond traditional advertising to engage young audiences through culture-driven moments.
