According to Masaka Regional Police spokesperson Twaha Kasirye, investigations began after intelligence information linked Muwonge to a group allegedly involved in breaking into homes and stealing household property, particularly electronic appliances.

During interrogation, Muwonge reportedly informed investigators that the stolen items were being stored at premises owned by Khasim Ibrahim before being sold to different buyers.

The scene of crime was documented by the Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) team, and all recovered exhibits were handed over to Kyotera Central Police Station as investigations continue.

“We are continuing with investigations to identify and arrest the other accomplices who are still at large,” Kasirye added.
