Members of Uganda Bikers Association over the weekend vowed to intensify their fight against cancer in Uganda.

The bikers made the vow in Jinja where they had gone to do charity work as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Some of the activities they undertook included sensitisation of members of the public about cancer through distribution of flyers in conjunction with Hospice Jinja.

The bikers also donated 170 pieces of mattresses worth Shs 10 million to families of cancer patients in Busoga.

While handing the mattresses to their partners Hospice Jinja, UBA said through several outreaches they found out that many cancer patients are needy due to the dire conditions they live in.

Stephen Mukisa the spokesperson of the association revealed that since their bikes attract a lot of attention, they decided to use that opportunity to fight against deadly diseases like cancer and HIV/AIDS.
