Torrential rains pounded Dubai, causing flooding and grounding transport and communication

Prophet Elvis Mbonye has published a fulfilled prophecy update on his YouTube channel in regard to the unprecedented torrential rains that pounded Dubai last week bringing one of the busiest cities in the world to a sudden halt.

In the prophecy dated 06th December, 2022, the prophet warned that; “The time has come when the places that men looked up to as their expectation, their glory are going to be exposed. It is going to be exposed. It is going to be so embarrassingly exposed, so much so that they will have to turn to the Lord our God.”

Drawing parallels with the ancient times when people looked to Ethiopia and Egypt, he warned that even today people are treading the same perilous path by looking up to certain places such as USA and Dubai, other than the Lord.

“Do you see Dubai there? Wait and see the news that is going to come from there. And you see, it is going to appear like; ‘You mean all this has been fake!,'” Prophet Mbonye cautioned.

True to the prophetic utterance, in the wake of the rains that in several circles were described as apocalyptic, many questioned the stature of Dubai as the beacon of modernity, a glamorous hi-tech fusion of the best of today and a glimpse into the future.

The record-breaking rains, the worst since 1949, left Dubai reeling, literally on its knees. The floods claimed approximately 20 people. There was gridlock traffic, cancelled flights at the busiest airport, flooded buildings among other catastrophes.

Prophet Mbonye revealed that this would be; “a sign to realize that in your midst the Lord your God has positioned Himself just for you to rise up and rely on what is more real than the things that the scripture calls the ‘glory of Egypt’ (Isaiah 20:5).”
