In a heartwarming ceremony, the communities of Angorom and Oriyoi villages in Tororo District celebrated the commissioning of two new boreholes, providing them with access to clean and safe water.

The project, made possible through the support of Italian friends, was officially launched by His Grace Archbishop Dr. Emmanuel Obbo, accompanied by Tororo Woman MP Sarah Opendi, Hon. Angura, and other subcounty officials.

For years, the villagers had struggled with limited access to clean water, relying on unsafe sources that often led to water-borne diseases.

However, thanks to the generosity of their Italian friends and the efforts of local leaders, the communities can now enjoy the luxury of clean drinking water.

MP Sarah Opendi expressed her gratitude to the Italian supporters, stating, "We are thrilled to see the positive impact of this project on our communities. Clean water is a basic human right, and we are proud to have made this a reality for the people of Angorom and Oriyoi."

The commissioning ceremony was a momentous occasion, marking a significant improvement in the lives of the villagers. As the boreholes began to pump out fresh, clean water, the attendees cheered and celebrated, knowing that their lives would never be the same.

With this project, the communities in Tororo have taken a significant step towards a healthier, brighter future, and they will always remember the kindness of their Italian friends who made it possible.
