Kampala Hosts Final Tusker Lite Neon Raves Auditions Ahead of National Showdown

By | May 23, 2026

After staging energetic showcases in Hoima, Masaka, Mbarara, Arua and Gulu, the Tusker Lite Neon Raves are headed to Kampala, with auditions scheduled for today at Supremacy Lounge in Nakulabye.

‎The auditions will see dance crews from Kampala and surrounding areas compete for places in the Kampala finale due on May 30, as the nationwide competition enters its final regional phase.

‎Since its launch earlier this year, the Tusker Lite Neon Raves platform has grown into one of Uganda’s emerging youth entertainment events, combining dance, music and nightlife culture in a celebration of creativity and self-expression.

‎Each regional stop has delivered a distinct experience. Hoima featured theatrical and comic-inspired performances, Masaka stood out for its all-female dance crews, while Mbarara blended nightlife culture with high-energy routines. In Arua, performers incorporated West Nile-inspired sounds and identity into the competition, before Gulu concluded its chapter with performances capped by a headline appearance from Ray G.

‎Attention now shifts to Kampala, widely regarded as the country’s entertainment hub and one of Uganda’s most competitive dance scenes.

‎Organisers expect the Kampala auditions to attract a diverse mix of performers, ranging from street dance collectives to amapiano-inspired and Afro-fusion crews, reflecting the capital’s urban culture and nightlife influence.

‎The Nakulabye event is also expected to draw DJs, nightlife enthusiasts and fans eager to witness emerging dance talent compete for a place at the national finale.

‎Speaking ahead of the auditions, the Tusker Lite Brand Manager said, “Bringing Neon Raves to Kampala is a major moment for the platform because the city has such a deep and competitive dance culture. We have seen incredible talent across the country, and now we are excited to see how Kampala crews respond. We expect energy, originality and performances that will raise the level of the competition even higher.”

‎For many participants, the Kampala auditions represent an opportunity to prove themselves within Uganda’s largest entertainment market while securing a chance to compete at the grand finale later this month.

‎The Kampala edition will also mark the final regional stop before winning crews from across the country face off in the national finale to determine Uganda’s ultimate dance crew champion.

‎As the auditions draw closer, Supremacy Lounge is expected to host a night of music, dance and competition under neon lights, with only the top crews advancing to the next stage.
