Bell Citrus Paints Gulu Green as Zesty Tours Head North

The Bell Citrus Zesty Tours officially claimed the northern territory this past Saturday during their second stop at Gulu University’s Northern Pearl Hostel.

Following a blockbuster kickoff at Makerere University, the tour arrived in Gulu with a singular mission: to bring the zesty, smooth, and light-bodied golden lager experience straight to the heartbeat of the student community.

After a slight evening drizzle, students from Gulu University and the surrounding community poured into the venue, ready to experience the party that had already made waves in Kampala.

The hostel grounds transformed into a full-blown celebration, proving that the brand’s signature sweet and smooth flavour is best enjoyed with a side of high-energy vibes.

Lillian Kansiime, Brand Manager of Bell Citrus, who was on the ground at Northern Pearl Hostel, shared her excitement about the turnout:

“Gulu has officially raised the bar!” Kansiime said. “We came to share the Bell Citrus experience, but the people of Gulu have given us back so much more. Seeing students connect with the brand and genuinely have fun alongside our entertainers reaffirms exactly what it means to be as vibrant as the people who enjoy our beer.”

The hostel grounds became an active adult playground where squads gathered to dive into the full party experience. Between high-stakes games and interactive challenges, there were continuous toasts and cheers, with the flavorful Citrus flowing as student-friendly discounts kept the good times going.

The stage remained the focal point of the zesty spirit, featuring an elite DJ lineup that kept the BPM high, while MCs Mercy and Blacky commanded the mic with infectious energy, ensuring no one stayed in their hostel rooms for long.

More than just a party, the stop also served as a launchpad for Gulu’s young creatives, with several student performers taking to the stage and showcasing their unique talent to an enthusiastic crowd.

The night wrapped up with some attendees walking away with special prizes, but all who attended were winners, as Bell Citrus left Gulu with a lasting taste of zest, community, and the kind of good times that campus stories are made of.
