“When women grow together, the impact goes far beyond the individual. It reaches families, organisations, and the wider community,” Sanyu said.

The keynote address was delivered by Joyce Nalunga Birimumaaso, a gender expert and president of the Female Lawyers’ Network. Drawing from her professional experience, she urged women to take charge of their personal and professional journeys.

“Empowerment begins when you become intentional about your journey. It is about choosing to build, to grow, and to stand for something meaningful,” she said.

Nalunga Birimumaaso also spoke about the challenge of balancing multiple roles, encouraging participants to remain grounded in purpose despite competing responsibilities.

“As women, we carry so many roles: mother, leader, professional. But in all of that, we must remain intentional about the life we are building,” she added, urging attendees to act without waiting for ideal conditions.

The discussions during the evening covered financial independence, workplace growth, personal development, and navigating motherhood alongside career ambitions.

A key message that resonated was the need for women to build financial security beyond salaried income.

“Salary alone will never be enough. What you build beyond your salary is what will truly sustain you,” Sanyu said.

Participants also shared experiences around workplace pressure, societal expectations, and the demands of balancing personal and professional lives. Many described the gathering as a rare space for open and honest dialogue.

Among the organisations that supported staff participation was Next Media, which facilitated attendance for its team as part of its broader commitment to professional development.

The event blended discussion with social elements, including dining and live music, creating a relaxed environment for engagement and celebration.

For MP3 TalentSync Solutions, the gathering forms part of a broader effort to position itself as a leading platform for leadership development and professional growth in Uganda.
