The winds of Kawempe did little to cool the excitement inside Happy Boyz this past Sunday as partygoers gathered for an unforgettable evening celebrating authentic Ugandan experiences.
Uganda Waragi brought life to the iconic Tula Road hangout, blending the beautiful game, good music, and lively vibes for fans of all kinds.
Attendees arrived ready for a unique Sunday wind-down, starting the evening with card and board games that quickly broke the ice and set the tone for the football showdown between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Edgar Kihumuro, Marketing Manager for Uganda Waragi, said, “At Uganda Waragi, we believe the best stories are written in the moments we share.
Seeing the passion for the game, the love for our music, and the people come together, is the essence of what the ‘So UG So 60’ campaign is all about. As we celebrate 60 years, we are honoring these authentic spaces where Ugandans truly feel at home, and today, we are very happy at Happy Boyz.”
After Arsenal’s victory, the crowd turned up the energy with mini-dancefloors forming between tables, high-fives flying, and shots and bottles circulating quickly.
DJ Edu and DJ Ricky kept the party moving all night, while Mavoko Band delivered live performances of popular covers, eventually opening the floor to requests and turning the venue into one big singing family.
Comedy duo Merry Hearts Tumbeetu added a humorous twist to the night, leaving the crowd in stitches with banter, roasts, and witty observations.
The DJs closed the evening with high-energy music that kept the vibe alive, making attendees wish the night would never end.
Uganda Waragi’s So UG So 60 celebrations continue across Kampala and will wrap up this week at Bada Bing in Kiira on Saturday, keeping the spirit of Ugandan festivities alive.
