The SMACK League matchday this Sunday, November 23, 2025, is set for an even bigger turnout as the Guinness Matchday Truck rolls into the IUEA Sports Ground in Kansanga, offering fans live Premier League action alongside their favourite alumni football fixtures.

Supporters will watch two major Premier League clashes—Arsenal vs Tottenham and Leeds United vs Aston Villa—on large outdoor screens as Guinness brings a full viewing experience to the venue.

Mercy Atwongyeire, Project Manager for Premium Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the Matchday Truck eliminates the scramble to find bars or televisions elsewhere.

“We are thrilled to bring the Premier League experience to the SMACK League. The Guinness Matchday is all about celebrating the passion of the game, connecting fans with world-class football, and creating unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance,” she said, adding that Guinness will elevate the matchday atmosphere throughout the day.

The truck will first appear at the Mwiri League season opener on Saturday, November 22, before returning for the SMACK League matchday on Sunday.

This weekend’s fixtures also mark the league’s commemoration of World Prematurity Day, observed annually on November 17. Matchday 5 hosts, Bushmen (2001) and Pirates (2012), are leading the awareness initiative, which follows a recent CSR partnership with the Kuliva Foundation during matchday three.

Earlier this week, during World Prematurity Day activities at Kawempe National Referral Hospital, Mama Tulia—working with the Pirates and Bushmen—donated a refrigerator and two water filters to support breast milk storage and access to safe drinking water.

Fans attending Sunday’s matchday can take part in the commemoration by purchasing raffle tickets priced at Shs10,000, Shs50,000 and Shs100, with proceeds supporting Mama Tulia’s 2026 preterm care programmes. The theme,

“Men’s Involvement in Prematurity,” reflects what SMACK League Chief Marketing Officer David Kawooya described as the league’s growing impact beyond sport.

“This is an important matchday, not just because the league is heating up but because we are supporting a very noble cause,” Kawooya said.

“We encourage everyone to come with a generous heart and give.”

On the field, 11 games are scheduled. Block Owners, sixth in Pool A, take on winless Window in the derby of the day.

Pool A leaders Vendors, on 12 points, face former champions Zimbaz, while Pirates—top of Pool B—meet Bushmen, who sit fifth in Pool A, in the day’s final inter-pool clash.
