If last night’s opening of Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s 20-year celebration concert proved anything, it is that faith and music can move an entire city. The Kampala Serena Hotel was filled for a night that blended comedy, praise, worship, and an unforgettable display of Ugandan talent.
The evening featured stage appearances from some of the country’s biggest names in entertainment, including the Fun Factory crew, Mama Nandujja, Rema Namakula, Mesach Semakula, Chris Evans, Maureen Nantume, Nina Roz, Lydia Jazmine, and many more. The crowd sang along, laughed out loud, and joined in moments of heartfelt worship led by the man of the night.
It wasn’t just fans who turned up. The sold-out show was graced by notable dignitaries such as the Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, Eddy Kenzo, and his fiancée, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, who represented H.E. the President and presented Pastor Bugembe with 20 million UGX from him. Religious leaders Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo, Mama Fiina, Pastor Imelda Namutebi, and many others also joined the evening to praise and worship with Bugembe.
The overwhelming turnout and electric atmosphere were a testament to Pastor Bugembe’s lasting impact over the past two decades.
And the celebration is far from over. Tonight, 9th August, the Kampala Serena Hotel will once again host Pastor Bugembe for the second leg of this historic event. Tickets are 100,000 UGX VIP and 3 million UGX for a table. Then on 10th August, the celebration moves to Worship House in Nansana for a more intimate night of ministry at 20,000 UGX ordinary and 50,000 UGX VIP.
If you missed the first show, this is your chance. However, you can still rewatch the entire show on your AfroMobile.
