Movit Foundation Breaks Ground for Classroom Construction in Bunyangabu

The Movit Foundation has officially broken ground for the construction of a five-classroom block at Kadindimo Primary School in Bunyangabu District, under its education pillar aimed at enhancing learning environments across Uganda.

Founded in 1962 as a Muslim institution and later taken over as a government-aided school, Kadindimo Primary currently accommodates over 650 pupils in just six classrooms.

The overcrowding has forced some classes to merge, with more than 100 learners squeezed into a single room, affecting teaching and learning quality.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Movit Foundation’s Head of Operations, Robert Ggobi, said the intervention is part of a broader commitment to education.

“Our target is to construct at least ten classrooms every year across the country. This is our way of contributing to a better learning environment for Ugandan children,” he stated.

Kadindimo’s headteacher, Robert Kaija, welcomed the development, noting that the new block would significantly improve class management and pupil learning conditions.

Bunyangabu District Chief Administrative Officer, Hajj Issa Hudu Nsubuga, praised the foundation for supporting government-aided schools struggling with limited resources.

“Partnerships like this are vital. They bridge the gaps where government funding falls short,” he said.

With construction underway, Kadindimo Primary School joins a growing list of schools benefiting from the Movit Foundation’s education initiatives, aimed at improving infrastructure and access to quality education across Uganda.
