The NRM candidate for Kampala Lord Mayor is Kizito Moses Nsubuga. Hamis Kiggundu has neither declared his intention to run for Lord Mayor nor been nominated by the Electoral Commission.

A poster circulating on TikTok claiming that businessman Hamis Kiggundu is running for Lord Mayor of Kampala is fake.

The poster, which carries National Resistance Movement (NRM) branding, falsely suggests that Kiggundu is contesting the Kampala Lord Mayor seat on the NRM ticket.

In reality, the NRM candidate for Kampala Lord Mayor is Kizito Moses Nsubuga. Hamis Kiggundu has neither declared his intention to run for Lord Mayor nor been nominated by the Electoral Commission. Other confirmed contestants include Erias Lukwago (People’s Front for Freedom), Ronald Balimwezo (National Unity Platform), Beatrice Nambi (Democratic Party), and Nabilah Naggayi (Independent).

This poster is entirely fabricated, spells the Businessman's name as "Kigundu" and not "Kiggundu" as he writes it and he is not participating in the Kampala Lord Mayor race.
