UPDF Officer Implicated in Armed Robbery at Terego Police Post

Police in Terego District have launched investigations into an aggravated robbery at Aii-Vu Police Post on January 22, 2025, involving a Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) officer and accomplices.

Preliminary reports reveal that Major Amakule Fendezio, allegedly in civilian attire, arrived at the police post with armed individuals in a UPDF-registered vehicle.

The group forcibly seized a motorcycle that police had earlier impounded following an accident.

West Nile regional police spokesperson, Collins Asea, confirmed the incident and emphasized the police’s commitment to a thorough investigation.
