Police Investigate Suspected Murder in Ndeeba

Police in Kampala have launched an investigation into a suspected murder following the discovery of an unidentified body this morning in the Ndeeba area.
The body was found in Tomusange Zone, Ndeeba Parish, located in Rubaga Division.
The grim discovery was made around 9am when local residents alerted authorities to a body wrapped in a bed sheet, lying along the Lubiri wall fence.
Officers from the Katwe Police Station responded swiftly to the scene and secured the area.
"The police were immediately notified by concerned citizens who noticed a body wrapped in a bed sheet near the Lubiri wall fence. We responded promptly and have since transported the body to the City Mortuary in Mulago for further post-mortem examination,” stated ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police.
Owoyesigyire confirmed that the case is being treated as a suspected murder, although details regarding the identity of the deceased remain unclear.
As the investigation progresses, police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the deceased to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
The body is currently being held at the City Mortuary, awaiting a comprehensive post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
