In an intelligence led operation conducted on Thursday night police have arrested 18 suspected criminals.
The operation was conducted in the villages of Jiako cell, Kirabu cell, Jasindo cell, Ozua cell, Zebra corner cell, Air Japan, Oli A, B, C and D in Arua City.
According to police, the suspects who have been allegedly terrorising and robbing the communities in the city were apprehended and locked up at Arua City Central Division pending investigations on various charges including aggravated robberies.
This operation comes after public outcry over increasing cases of break-ins, , phone snatching, mob action and mugging that happened at any time of the day.
According to the regional Police spokesperson Josephine Angucia, these intelligence led operations will continue until all criminals are wiped out of Arua
