Tabula: I paid the killers to redeem my inheritance
Lujja Tabula confessed to the murder

Lujja Bbosa Tabula shows no remorse and declares he was ready to die for reclaiming what he believed was rightfully his.

KAMPALA | Tabula Bbosa Tabula, the prime suspect in the murder of former Lomwa Eng Daniel Bbosa, has confessed to orchestrating the killing.

He claimed it was an act of vengeance and a means to reclaim his ancestral inheritance.

"I paid the killers of Eng Daniel Bbosa," Tabula stated defiantly.

He showed no remorse and declared he was ready to die for reclaiming what he believed was rightfully his.

Tabula made these statements before his appearance at Lubaga Nateete Court, formerly Mwanga II Court.

He now faces charges of murder and has been remanded to Luzira Prison until October 3, 2024.

On that date, he will be committed for trial alongside five co-accused.

Tabula was transported to court under heavy security.

Arriving in a drone identified as UBJ 749B around 3 p.m., he was shielded from the media by plain-clothed officers.

These officers kept their faces hidden as the public watched Tabula being escorted to court cells under tight security.

Despite trembling, Tabula maintained his stance.

He claimed the murder was necessary to restore his position as the rightful Ndiga clan head.

Tabula's defiant demeanour was clear as he addressed the gathered crowd and media.

"I confess that I paid to have Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lomwa killed," he said.

"I did this to secure our heritage for future generations, and I am prepared to face the consequences."

Judge Adams Byarugaba read the murder charges against Tabula and his co-accused.

He admonished Tabula to refrain from further comments.

"The investigation is complete, and Tabula will remain remanded until October 3, 2024," stated Prosecutor Caroline Mpumwire.

"On this date, he and his co-accused will be tried in the High Court."

Tabula's claims are deeply rooted in a personal vendetta.

He alleged that the killing of Eng. Bbosa was revenge for the death of his grandfather, Israel Kalyesubula.

Kalyesubula, according to Tabula, was killed by Lwomwa's family.

He asserted his belief that he is the rightful claimant to the Ndiga clan headship.
