Kansai Plascon Turns Partnership into  Living Canvas at its 2026 Gala in Kampala

Kansai Plascon once again brought its partner network to the center of the story, hosting its annual Partners’ Gala at the Kampala Serena Hotel in an evening that felt less like a corporate function and more like a shared celebration of growth, trust, and ambition.

Held under the theme “The Colours of Partnership,” this year’s edition leaned fully into the idea that Plascon’s success is not built in isolation, but through a network of relationships, each partner adding a distinct layer, energy, and contribution to the bigger picture.

From long-standing distributors to emerging players in the ecosystem, the room reflected a business community that continues to evolve together.

The evening opened with a relaxed cocktail session that quickly built into a vibrant atmosphere, setting the tone for what would unfold as a carefully curated experience.

Guests were treated to high-energy performances by the Ghetto Kids, whose presence injected a youthful, celebratory pulse into the night, while Kenneth Mugabi & Friends delivered a more soulful, immersive live music set that carried the evening forward.

A synchronized fireworks display punctuated the transition into the main program, reinforcing the sense of occasion and shared achievement.

Managing Director Dr. Santosh Gumte anchored the evening in both reflection and forward-looking intent, tying the theme directly to the company’s journey.

“When we talk about The Colours of Partnership, we are really talking about people, different strengths, different perspectives, different journeys, all coming together to create something stronger than any one of us could build alone. Each of you represents a colour that has helped shape the Plascon story in Uganda. And it’s that diversity, that consistency, and that shared belief in what we are building that keeps us moving forward," Santosh said.

“As we grow, our focus is not just on expanding the business, but on deepening these relationships. We are investing in smarter solutions, more sustainable products, and stronger systems, but at the core of all that is you, our partners. Because real sustainability is not just about products; it’s about partnerships that last, evolve, and continue to create value over time."

Head of Sales, Mr. Moses Kato, brought the conversation closer to the day-to-day reality of the market, emphasizing execution, consistency, and shared accountability.

“Partnership, for us, is something very practical. It’s in the way we show up for each other in the market, the way we solve challenges together, and the way we keep pushing for better results. This theme; The Colours of Partnership, is a reminder that every effort matters. Whether it’s reaching a new customer, opening a new outlet, or maintaining standards, each action contributes to the bigger picture we are building together.”

“What gives us confidence going forward is that we are not starting from zero but building on a strong foundation of trust. And with that, we can keep expanding, keep improving, and keep delivering value in a way that benefits both our partners and the communities we serve.”

A key highlight of the evening was the awards segment, where outstanding distributors and partners were recognized across several categories, including best regional performers, largest upcountry dealer, best automotive dealer, and top dealers in Uganda.

The segment underscored Kansai Plascon’s commitment to rewarding excellence and celebrating performance across its distribution network.

The gala also featured an engaging raffle draw and a curated dining experience, complemented by continued live music, creating a seamless blend of business and celebration.
