The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has awarded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification to Jubilee Dental following the successful completion of an audit of its management systems against the global standard.
The certification confirms that Jubilee Dental’s quality management system complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, a globally recognised standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization.
ISO 9001:2015 signals Quality Management Systems. It improves SEO and professional credibility and also avoids ambiguity.
The standard sets criteria for consistent service delivery, enhanced customer satisfaction and continual improvement of organisational processes.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Kampala on Thursday, February 26, 2026, UNBS Deputy Executive Director in charge of Standards, Patricia Bageine Ejalu, commended Jubilee Dental for establishing and maintaining a robust quality management framework.
“The award of ISO 9001:2015 certification is a clear demonstration of Jubilee Dental’s commitment to delivering dental services that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. This achievement reflects the organization’s investment in quality systems, competent personnel, and effective processes,” Ejalu said.
She noted that more than 80 companies have so far received management systems certification from UNBS across various standards, including Quality Management Systems, Food Safety Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Ejalu encouraged more companies to embrace certification, saying structured quality management systems improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, enhance credibility, ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Jubilee Dental Executive Director James Magara expressed appreciation to UNBS for its support throughout the certification process.
He said the experience revealed the broader value of quality management systems beyond compliance.
“The deeper Jubilee Dental engaged in the certification process, the more we recognized its significant value to our operations and overall performance,” Magara said, adding that the certification would strengthen patient confidence and institutional performance.
UNBS said it will continue promoting adoption of international standards to improve the quality of products and services in Uganda.
Through its Management Systems Certification services, the bureau supports organisations in implementing best practices that drive efficiency, compliance and customer satisfaction.
Established as a statutory body, UNBS is mandated to develop, promote and enforce national standards to protect public health, safety and the environment from dangerous and substandard products, while promoting fair trade practices and competitiveness of Ugandan products.
