MTN Mobile Money Uganda has launched the 2026 edition of its “Win School Fees for a Year and More” campaign, bringing hope to families and schools nationwide as education costs continue to rise.
Now in its third year, the initiative reaffirms MTN MoMo’s commitment to making education more accessible, affordable, and stress-free for Ugandan households.
The campaign allows parents and guardians who pay school fees using MoMo to stand a chance of having their children’s school fees fully covered for an entire year. Richard Yego, Managing Director, MTN MoMo Uganda, said, “Education remains one of the most powerful enablers of progress for individuals and for the country as a whole.
Through the Win School Fees for a Year and More campaign, we are going beyond convenience to deliver meaningful support that can change the course of a family’s future.
By fully covering school fees for a year and offering additional rewards, we are reaffirming our role as a trusted partner in the education journey of Ugandan families.”
The campaign also actively engages schools as partners in advancing digital payments. Schools and bursars that register to collect fees through MoMo benefit from faster reconciliation, improved tracking, and safer cashless payments.
Registered schools also stand a chance to win a school van, which can support daily operations and enhance service delivery. Schools are encouraged to register on the MoMo platform to participate in both fee collection and rewards opportunities.
Recognising that paying school fees in full can be challenging for many families, MTN MoMo is promoting MoMo School Fees Loans as part of the campaign.
Parents and guardians can access these loans directly through the MoMo platform, giving them the flexibility to pay fees on time while keeping children in school. Jemima Kariuki, Chief Product Officer, MTN Mobile Money Uganda, added,

The 2026 campaign strengthens the habit of paying school fees digitally, making it safer, faster, and more convenient for communities.
It aligns with MTN’s broader Power to Be More platform, which focuses on removing barriers and empowering Ugandans to achieve more in their daily lives.
Through the campaign, MTN MoMo is not only helping families meet education costs but also supporting schools in their day-to-day operations, creating a meaningful impact on communities across Uganda.
By combining digital convenience, financial support, and community rewards, the initiative ensures that children remain in school and families can pursue education without the stress of financial uncertainty.
