The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has launched the “40 Good Days” campaign, a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at improving lives across Uganda beyond the fund’s legal obligations.
The campaign marks NSSF’s 40th anniversary and underscores its commitment to supporting communities and expanding opportunities for citizens.
As part of the initiative, NSSF has donated vital medical equipment to Boroboro Health Centre III to strengthen healthcare delivery in the community.
The fund has also renovated Kiyunga Muslim Primary School to enhance the quality of education.
Through these interventions, NSSF reaffirms its dedication to uplifting communities and ensuring equitable access to quality health and education services.
Corporate social responsibility campaigns such as this reflect a broader shift in business practice, integrating social and environmental concerns alongside profit-making to create long-term societal benefits.
“This year, the fund celebrates 40 years of making lives better—a journey marked by growth, service, and continued commitment to Uganda’s future. As part of this celebration, we have launched a nationwide corporate social responsibility campaign dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities,” said Gerald Paul Kasaato, acting Managing Director of NSSF.
Kasaato added that across NSSF’s 21 branches, the fund is rolling out impactful initiatives including supplying essential medical equipment to selected health centres, supporting schools for children with disabilities, upgrading sanitation facilities, renovating public schools, and advancing digital literacy in 13 primary schools in partnership with the Uganda Communications Commission and World Vision.
“The 40 Good Days campaign is about going beyond profits to make a meaningful difference in society, ensuring that every community has a fair chance at quality health, education, and opportunities for growth,” Kasaato concluded.
