MTN Uganda has unveiled a newly branded roundabout in Arua City and reopened its modernised MTN Service Centre, reinforcing the company’s commitment to improving customer experience and contributing to urban beautification across Uganda.

"This service center is where we shall be serving our customers, and they are very happy. It’s new and it’s beautiful," said Dorcus Muhwezi, general manager in charge of Customer Experience at MTN Uganda.

The developments were launched during Customer Service Week, coinciding with MTN’s 27th anniversary in Uganda.

"We have also today unveiled a monument at the roundabout that solidifies MTN's commitment to the West Nile region," Muhwezi added.

The branded roundabout has transformed the face of Arua City, while the refurbished service centre, which was destroyed by fire five months ago, has restored convenience for residents.

"We want to appreciate MTN for refurbishing this service center here. This service center will help to solve a lot of problems, including mobile money services and affordable phones," said Job Richard Matua, Assistant RCC of Arua City.

The tower at the roundabout, designed as a new landmark for Arua, is planned to house a mini museum, a restaurant, and a viewing area overlooking the city. At 49.5 meters, it is the tallest tower in East and Central Africa.

The new Arua roundabout, prominently branded in MTN’s signature yellow, symbolizes the partnership between the company and Arua City leadership in improving public spaces.

Simon Avutia, General Manager of Nile Com, MTN’s distributor in West Nile, highlighted the impact of the developments on local businesses and connectivity.

MTN Uganda remains a leading telecom company in the region, operating under a national telecommunications licence granted by the Uganda Communications Commission.
