This Year's Uganda-Qatar Business Forum Set for October 27

The Ugandan embassy  in the State of Qatar has announced that the second edition of the Uganda–Qatar Business Forum will take place on Monday, October, 27, 2025, at Rotana City Center, Doha.

The forum will rununder the theme: “Uganda and Qatar in Partnership for Shared Economic Development.”

Building on the success of the inaugural edition, this year’s forum will bring together senior dignitaries, investors, business leaders, and government officials from Uganda, Qatar, and the wider Gulf region to explore new opportunities in trade, investment, and tourism.

The event is organized in partnership with KON W.L.L as the Strategic Partner.

Speaking ahead of the Forum, Dr. Stephen Chebrot, Uganda's ambassador  to the State of Qatar, emphasized that the forum demonstrates Uganda’s growing engagement with Qatar under the framework of economic and commercial diplomacy.

“The Uganda–Qatar Business Forum provides a valuable platform for dialogue, networking, and partnership. Uganda welcomes Qatari investors to explore our country’s vast potential in agriculture, tourism, minerals, energy, manufacturing, and ICT — key sectors driving Uganda’s transformation agenda,”
saidDr. Chebrot.

The one-day event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and sectoral presentations by leading Ugandan and Qatari institutions. These include the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotion Authority, Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), Qatar Chamber of Commerce, and Qatar Tourism, among others.

Participants will engage in B2B networking sessions, cultural showcases, and sector-specific dialogues aimed at strengthening bilateral and private-sector cooperation between the two nations.

The forum is part of Uganda’s broader efforts to advance its Economic and Commercial Diplomacy Programme, which seeks to attract investment, promote exports, and deepen partnerships that drive shared prosperity between Uganda and its international partners.
