Two lucky winners get a brand new truck each as Shell’s ‘Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ ends
Vivo Energy Uganda has successfully concluded the ‘Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ campaign that targeted drivers of heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles.
Launched in October 2024, the campaign introduced Shell Rimula R3X, a triple-action heavy duty diesel engine oil designed to provide superior engine protection under severe conditions, improve fuel economy, and extended mileage.

The product has quickly gained the trust of commercial transport operators and individual vehicle owners across Uganda.
All participating customers earned entries into weekly draws for full tanks of fuel and instant rewards by buying Shell Rimula R3X and servicing their vehicles at Shell service stations countrywide. In addition, they stood a chance to win one of two brand new Canter trucks.
On Wednesday, two lucky winners were handed their brand new trucks during a function held at Shell Kawempe.
"Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ has seen us reward over 5,000 customers, with more than 3,000 winning prizes such as full tanks of fuel, airtime, branded merchandise, Shell Coolant, and more. Additionally, the benefits of Shell Rimula R3X, with its triple-action formula helping them save on maintenance costs and spend more time on the road. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are thrilled to see how this product has made a meaningful impact on taxi, truck, and elf drivers, as well as their commercial transport business,” said Rebecca Nassiwa, Lubricants Brand Manager for Vivo Energy Uganda.
