On October 29th, 2024, Maqam Travels, one of Salam TV's leading Hajj and Umrah tours partners, held a send-off ceremony for pilgrims embarking on the November Umrah pilgrimage at Hotel Africana's BMK Cafe.

The event, attended by prominent Islamic scholars and dignitaries, aimed to spiritually prepare pilgrims for their journey to Makkah and Madinah. Imam Ahmad Sulaiman Kyeyune, a renowned preacher, emphasized the essential prerequisites for a successful pilgrimage.

"Before performing Umrah, ensure you observe five crucial principles," Imam Kyeyune advised. "Firstly, shun polytheism. Secondly, utilize Halal money. Thirdly, revise your will. Fourthly, cultivate patience. Lastly, adhere to your instructors' guidance."

Imam Kyeyune highlighted the fundamental rituals of Umrah, including Ihram, Tawaf, and running between Safa and Marwa. He stressed the importance of focusing solely on accumulating good deeds and spiritual growth during the pilgrimage, leaving worldly concerns behind.

Sheikh Muhsin Burhan Kiti echoed Imam Kyeyune's sentiments, emphasizing the significance of praising Allah during Umrah rituals. "Give your undivided attention to Him for a spiritually enriching experience," Sheikh Kiti urged. He also encouraged pilgrims to express gratitude for Allah's countless blessings and seek forgiveness during their time in Makkah and Madinah.

Hafidhu Muwada Swallahudiini's captivating Quran recitation set the tone for the blessed journey ahead.

Sheikh Mafo Shafic, Managing Director of Maqam Travels, attributed the company's success to its commitment to trustworthiness. "Our dedication to integrity earns us referrals from satisfied pilgrims," Sheikh Shafic noted.

Hajji Karim Kaliisa, Managing Director of Salam TV and Salam Charity, and patron of Maqam Travels, reminded pilgrims to show respect and kindness to elders during their journey. "Unite as one family, before, during, and after our Makkah and Madinah journey," Hajji Kaliisa encouraged.

The event concluded with the distribution of essential kits to pilgrims and a delicious dinner, symbolizing unity and solidarity among the travellers.

As the pilgrims embark on their spiritual journey, Maqam Travels and Salam TV reaffirm their commitment to providing exceptional service, ensuring a mistake-free and spiritually rewarding experience.
