The Tubeere Balamu medical outreach camp in Bulemeezi has ended with more than 5,000 people receiving free medical treatment and health services.
The camp was officially closed by the Attorney General of the Kingdom of Buganda, Christopher Bwanika, who expressed gratitude to the Kabaka for giving his people renewed hope in improving their health and overall well-being.
In his remarks, Bwanika noted that when Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II established the Kabaka Foundation 30 years ago, healthcare was identified as a top priority.
He commended the foundation for consistently advancing this agenda and ensuring that access
to health services remains central to its mission.
“The Kabaka’s vision has always placed the health of his people first, and through Kabaka Foundation, that vision continues to transform lives and restore hope to thousands,” he said.
On October 30, 2024, the Kabaka launched the Tubeere Balamu health campaign as part of his broader vision to uplift and improve the living standards of his people, particularly in the area of healthcare. The initiative has provided a wide range of services including medical screening, immunization, diagnosis, and treatment.
So far, six counties have been reached under the program, and testimonies from beneficiaries highlight the life-changing impact of the initiative. Many residents have accessed treatment they would otherwise have been unable to afford due to poverty and financial constraints. The program has restored hope and improved access to essential healthcare services for thousands.
Bwanika emphasized that the programs of Kabaka Foundation are not limited to the people of Buganda alone.
He noted that individuals from across Uganda have benefited from the health camps, underscoring the Kabaka’s inclusive love and commitment to all Ugandans.
He extended appreciation to the various individuals and organizations that have supported the health camps, enabling the successful delivery of free medical services to communities in need.
Bwanika further urged members of the public to put into practice the health education and guidance provided by medical professionals during the camp, stressing the importance of preventive care and healthy living.
He particularly encouraged people to embrace health insurance schemes as a safeguard against unexpected medical emergencies and to ensure continued access to healthcare services.
The Tubeere Balamu campaign continues to stand as a testament to the Kabaka’s enduring commitment to improving the welfare and health of his people, reinforcing the role of the Kabaka Foundation in transforming lives across Uganda.
