Uganda Aims for 150,000 BPO Jobs by 2030

Uganda's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector is driving economic growth, youth employment, and digital transformation, with the government setting ambitious targets.

Speaking at the Uganda Tech Value Workshop, Dr. Amina Zawedde, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, emphasized the sector's potential and highlighted key priorities to accelerate growth.

“We remain committed to achieving our target of 150,000 BPO jobs by 2030,” Dr. Zawedde stated.

To achieve this, the government is focusing on attracting investment, strengthening talent development, and expanding global market access.
