In a significant step towards enhancing journalism in Uganda, Umar Busuulwa, the Programs Manager at Salam TV, paid a visit to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TiKA) offices in Kampala on Monday. The visit was aimed at expressing appreciation for TiKA's support in facilitating Busuulwa’s participation in the prestigious 26th Term War Journalism training program held in Ankara, Turkey last month.
The meeting with Mr. Murat Cetin, TiKA’s Coordinator in Uganda, was not only a gesture of gratitude but also an opportunity to explore deeper collaboration between Salam TV and TiKA. Mr. Cetin reaffirmed TiKA’s dedication to Uganda’s development across various sectors, including education, healthcare, humanitarian aid, and capacity building. Importantly, he emphasized the agency's commitment to advancing the skills of Ugandan media professionals.
